Fingers crossed I should have some interesting content coming up this week, perhaps most notably I got to go to London yesterday to have a hands on with the new Nintendo Switch. Rest assured I can’t wait to share that experience.
I also plan on doing a bit of proof reading on the Winter in Gaming feature (that is still seasonally relevant, FYI). Posting those daily was a handful amidst December and some articles that didn’t have a banner image or I didn’t catch a paragraph going off course, I’ll hopefully tidy some of those ends up and eventually be able to proudly point to it each year (whilst adding future installments).

Week in Review…
Compared to the week before, I put a lot less hours into gaming on the weeknights as I’d usually do. I credit that to Awesome Games Done Quick which amazingly had it’s most successful year yet raising over $2 million dollars. In case you missed it I wrote about it that week too.
Thursday night I sacrificed my night to an early night in order to woke up at 3.30am UK time in order to catch the Nintendo Switch Presentation which aired LIVE at 4am here. Glad I did so, treated myself to McDonalds breakfast afterwards, and it got the excitement rolling into my opportunity to play the system 2 days later.
As exhausted as I was on Friday night having been up at 3.30am and done my 9-5 stint, I went to a friends birthday house gathering and played a handful of the Nintendo multiplayer games I listed above and had some great video game conversation with like minded folk. I also managed to shake off the much deserved rust I had in Smash Bros Melee, and WiiU to net myself some competitive victories, and had lady luck on my side as I managed to win 2-3 games of “Islands” in Game & Wario (with full 5 player matches taking place).
Whilst the highlight of Sunday has to be the Nintendo Switch event I went too, I did happen to play some 3 player Mario Kart 7, and Tetris on 3DS, as well as a 2 player Mario Party Island tour match. I think all 3 of us had forgotten how good Mario Kart 7 actually was after having Mario Kart 8 steal all attention once that came out in 2014.
This week I didn’t technically hand over any money for any games. Although rest assured I DID place my pre-order for a Nintendo Switch console, alongside Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Switch. I plan to pre-order at least 2 more games too, I’m just waiting for Amazon to list the likes of Super Bomberman R in the UK.
Oh I also pre-ordered the limited edition “Zelda: Art & Artefacts” book, which should surely be a beauty of a Zelda Art book too.
Thanks for reading through.
